Focused Ultrasound
Focused Ultrasound is a modern technology used in facelift procedures in a single session, usually lasting 30-45 minutes. This method is actually based on medical ultrasound technology, but in this application, instead of monitoring the development of babies in the womb, the focus is on the carrier tissues in the face and neck area. The method sends ultrasound waves to these tissues, causing them to heat up and thus tighten.
With this process, the skin undergoes a natural stretching and tightening process, thus creating a rejuvenation and tightening effect on the face. High-frequency focussed ultrasound energy targets deep tissues without damaging the skin surface. As a result, the skin is stretched and tightened upwards.
The advantages of Focused Ultrasound are that it is minimally invasive, no anaesthesia is required and results can be obtained immediately. However, the success of the procedure depends on the experience of the specialist and the quality of the device used. As with any aesthetic procedure, a comprehensive evaluation and counselling process is important for this treatment option.
