Chemical Peeling
Chemical peeling is a dermatological procedure used to renew the skin surface and treat various skin problems. In this method, one or more chemical agents are applied to the skin. These chemical agents cause damage to the skin in a controlled manner, thus peeling off dead and harmful cells. This process encourages the emergence of new and healthy skin cells. Chemical peels can be highly effective for treating skin problems such as acne scars, age spots, wrinkles and pigmentation.
This procedure is usually performed by specialist physicians in aesthetic and dermatological clinics. Before the procedure, the patient’s skin type and problems are carefully evaluated. Accordingly, the most appropriate chemical agent or agents are selected. Chemical peeling can be performed at different depth levels: superficial, medium and deep.
